We go to Deuteronomy Chapter 15 for some instructions on helping those in need. Jesus also instructs us to help the hungry, thirsty, to clothe the naked, and visit those in prison in the book of Matthew. He also tells us in the Gospel of Luke when we have a meal to invite the poor, crippled, those in need. We are called to show the love of Jesus through our actions.
